ABSTRACT
Silkworm Pupae are the by-product of the silk reeling industry, which can generate additional revenue for the reeling entrepreneurs with effective management and utilization. In some parts of India and China, the silkworm pupae are regarded as delicious food and are extensively used. Two breeds of silkworm pupa are majorly discarded from reeling industry viz. PM X CSR2, CSR2 X CSR4. Present investigation found that there was no significant differences in the nutritional value between the two hybrids CSR2 X CSR4 and PM X CSR2. The average percentage of total protein and fat contents of breeds CSR2 X CSR4, PM X CSR2 were 49.44%, 48.23% and 29.93%, 30.30% respectively
