Dr. Santanu Sarma

Dr. Santanu Sarma had completed his Ph.D. in 2001-2005 in Biochemistry related to Silkworm Nutrition under Department of Zoology of Gauhati University, Department of Zoology of Cotton College and Toxicology Division of Forensic Science Laboratory, Guwahati, Assam. In 2009 he joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, Bholanath College, Dhubri-783324, Assam and has also been served as Head of The Department for a tenure and still been serving in the department. His later research works were mainly on pollution, toxicology and nutrition. He had been conducted two UGC Sponsored Research Projects as principal investigator, concerned with toxicity of some ethno-medicines and groundwater minerals respectively. He has been involved as a member of the Editorial Board of Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Biosciences that was formerly known as International Journal of Pure and Applied Bioscience.

          He is an author of more than 13 articles in various journals and 7 articles in conference proceedings. He has also been serving as a member of Zoological Society of Assam.
