Dr. Sagar Maitra

Dr. Sagar Maitra (b 1969), B. Sc. Ag. (Hons.), M.Sc. (Ag.), Agronomy and Ph. D. in Agronomy, specialization in crop husbandry engaged in research activities on cropping system, nutrient management of field crops, crop physiology, precision agriculture (IoT based crop monitoring and management in forced ventilated polyhouse) and sustainable agriculture. Dr. Maitra is presently working as Associate Professor and Head, Department of Agronomy and Agroforestry at M.S. Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Centurion University of Technology and Management, jointly authored one book and edited a book, published more than 70 articles in the journals of national and international reputes and published 8 book chapters, while associated with dissemination of improved farming technologies. Besides, he has exposure to print and electronic media. He is a dynamic professional with 23 years versatile experience in academics and developmental activities including field exposure, project support and monitoring and transfer of technologies to the farming community.
