Dr. Rubia Bukhari

Dr. Rubia Bukhari completed her Ph.D. in Sericulture in 2019 from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu. Before pursuing Ph.D, she completed her B.Ed. in 2015, and Masters in Sericulture in 2014 from University of Jammu. She is specialised in DNA fingerprinting, Gene manipulation, Silkworm Biotechnology, Silkworm breeding and Gene Expression. She is serving as a lecturer in the Department of Sericulture in University of Jammu. She was awarded IMRF Best Thesis Award in recognition of the consistent superior performance in sericulture through the doctoral thesis entitled “Genetic Diversity Analysis of Indigenous Silkworm breeds (Bombyx mori L.) using morphological and molecular markers”. She was also awarded IMRF Young Scientist Award in recognition of the consistent superior performance in sericulture in 2019. She has actively participated in many National and International conferences. She has serving as an eminent reviewer for 5 journals. She is the author of 30 articles, several Chapters in 3 books. She has actively participated in 20 Conferences. She also writes frequently for various books, research papers and chapters.
