Dr. Priyanka Sharma

Dr. Priyanka Sharma is working as an Assistant Professor (Plant Pathology) in Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram, Haryana, India. She graduated in 2007 and post-graduated in 2009 in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology from University of Kota, Kota, Rajasthan. She did her Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Botany) in 2015 from the same. Her research topic was “Investigations on population variability and experimental studies in some species of Heterosporous fern Marsilea L.”. She is a University Gold Medalist (M.Sc. Botany University of Kota- 2009 batch). She has 10 research publications in peer reviewed national and international journals. She has also participated in various national and international conferences, where her work has been recognized. She has been awarded ‘Young Scientist Best Poster’ award during 1st International Science Congress organized by Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Sciences, Indore (December, 2011). She has also been awarded ‘Scientist of the Year Award 2019’ in National Conference in Resilience and Resource Management including ICT for Sustainable Agriculture and Biotechnology organized by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra on 23-24 Feb, 2019 also ‘Best Poster Presentation award in International Conference on Stewardship towards Sustainability (STS-2019), organized by SGT University in September, 2019.
