Dr. K. M. Sharma

Dr. K. M. Sharma is working as Scientist (Agronomy) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kota under Agriculture University Kota. He had completed his Ph.D. degree during 2004-2008 in Agronomy from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Udaipur. He has excellent academic record and awarded University Gold medal for M.Sc. (Agronomy) by Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner in 1996-97. He has been also awarded Certificate of Appreciation by Agriculture University Kota for his outstanding work in the field of Krishi Vigyan Kendra during 2016-17. He has specialization in the field of crop production techniques specially integrated nutrient management. He has eight years’ experience in the field of potato research at Agriculture Research Station, Kota and more than fifteen years experience of agriculture extension services at KVK Dausa, Sawaimadhopur and Kota. He has played commendable role in the dissemination of cost-effective production technology of major crops among the farmers through organization of more than 2000 number of frontline demonstrations. He has conducted several on-farm testing as farmers participatory research programmes for location specific recommendations. He has trained more than 6000 farmers on crop production & soil management aspects for sustainable crop production. He has also been remained engaged in quality seed production programmes under seed hub programmes through which several farmers get quality seeds.  

          He has been editor of ‘Abhinav Krishi’ tri-monthly magazine published by Directorate of Extension Education, Agriculture University Kota. He is life member of Society of Agronomy, IARI, New Delhi. He is author of over 22 research articles, 50 technical bulletins, 6 booklets and several popular articles and has participated in many conferences and seminars.
