Dr. Ekta Singh

Dr. Ekta Singh completed her Ph.D in fisheries science (Aquaculture) in 2017 from College of fisheries Maharanapratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, Rajasthan. Before persuing Ph.D she acquired her Masters and Bachelors degree also in fisheries science(Aquaculture) and also holds an honor of gold medalist in both programs. Dr Ekta Singh currently holds position of an Assistant professor (HOD) in the department of fisheries science in DCAST, Selaqui Dehradun Uttarakhand from past 2 year 3 months and serving as Head of Department from past 2 years till now. Her research interest lies in “ Hormonal Manipulation of Sex Ratio in Red Tilapia through Oral and Immersion Techniques”. She is author and Co-author of publishing 10 research papers , 4 articles and 2 abstracts in peer Indian and International journal of biological and fisheries sciences. She had guided various M.Sc Thesis, industrial training projects and became co-supervisor in them and itself undertaken various projects and training programs time to time in her career. She attended various Conferences and seminars in Dehradun organized by department of Zoology.

          Her total professional experience is more than 2 years and inspite of that she also achieves Life membership of Journal of Fisheries and Life Sciences published by Society of Fisheries and Life Sciences, College of Fisheries, Mangalore, Karnataka.
